For this reason I have decided to scrap the project. But don't worry, I have already started to make another game, a simple one. Here is a basic pre-prototype video of it. Needless to say it will change dramatically before release. (And this one WILL be released.)

Keep It Simple, Stupid.
I have learn a lot from T-Junction, mostly because I lacked the idea of "KISS" (Keep it simple, stupid). I spent days working on parts of the game that could have been been done in minutes. An example of this is the map generation. Generating the map took up most of my time and isn't even noticeable in the finished product. I could have made the game so much better if I kept it simple, instead of getting sidetracked with really cool mechanics I wanted to implement.
For this reason I have decided to scrap the project. But don't worry, I have already started to make another game, a simple one. Here is a basic pre-prototype video of it. Needless to say it will change dramatically before release. (And this one WILL be released.)

You're kidding, right?
ReplyDeleteHas a few elements of sarcasm, yes. But I do need to simplify my ideas. Read more about "Kiss" here if you want to understand me better. :)
